Star Spangled Spectacular Fireworks February 16, 2012

Rail Fest 2012 is pleased to announce that this year's celebration will feature a Star-Spangled Spectacular including an old fashioned fireworks display and concert on Saturday September 15th following the Union Pacific Family Day Picnic in Cody Park.
The day will begin with a carnival area, sporting contests, games, local arts and crafts, food and beverages and live music. At nightfall, fireworks will light up the sky.
Rail Fest is a celebration of the contributions the men and women of the Union Pacific Railroad have made in shaping North Platte, Nebraska into the extraordinary community it is today.
July 1, 2012 is the 150th Anniversary of the signing of the Pacific Railway Act of 1862 which created the Union Pacific Railroad; making this year's celebration even more special.
